How did you get started?A couple of years ago a very close friend of mine, who did some modelling as a hobby every once in a while, showed me her online portfolio and encouraged me to create an account on ModelMayhem. That’s pretty much how it all started for me.Did you always want to be a model or did you have other career aspirations when you were growing up? I always admired the girls on the covers of magazines, but when I reached puberty I realized that I would never be able to do that because I’m not the right height and look different. After that I didn’t give it much thought, until I stumbled onto photographs of alternative models such as Mosh. She is such a gorgeous and amazing model, even though she’s not extremely tall and has a more alternative look. It’s mainly because of her that I started dreaming of a career as a model again. When it comes to other career aspirations, I never really thought of myself just doing one thing for the rest of my life. I’ve always loved drawing and am currently studying Digital Arts and Entertainment, which will hopefully increase my drawing skills. I’d love to have a career somewhere in that direction, but still be able to do shoots regularly. Combining these two passions would be ideal to me.Do you love any one genre of modelling more than another? It really depends on the mood I’m in. Sometimes I’m really into latex, because it feels so empowering and sexy, but other times I feel like doing a really soft and feminine shoot. I’m interested in a wide variety of styles, so as long as the concept is interesting, I’ll love it anyway. You have “Siobhan” listed as a fictional character in your Facebook page. Am I reading too far into this, or is Siobhan your modelling persona? How do yourself and Siobhan differ? When I created the page I didn’t really know in which category I belonged and fictional character just sounded good to me at the time. But now that I think about it, there are quite a few differences between the regular me and Siobhan. At first I created Siobhan as an alias to be able to protect myself if necessary, but over time it has become more than that. For example, Siobhan can be confident, sexy and fierce, whereas everyday me is actually quite insecure, clumsy and introverted. I think it creates a nice balance in some way.

I have always been a huge fan of piercings and tattoos, but of course stuff like that is not cheap and I’m a broke student at the moment. I’m currently saving up for my first tattoo and have discussed the concept I want with a very talented artist already, so hopefully it won’t take too long anymore. You’re also studying game design! Wow, that’s a lot of hard work. Do you think your fantastical photo shoots will ever inspire your game work, or vice versa?Yeah it’s quite a lot of work haha! But I really love it. I think I will have an advantage when we start designing characters and studying anatomy because of my experience with posing. What do you consider your career highlights so far? Since I’m not super experienced yet, I haven’t done that many incredibly exciting things, but the one big highlight has just been being able to work with photographers whose work I’ve been admiring for years. And of course getting interviewed for an awesome website such as yours is a really cool experience. If you could shoot with or for anyone, who would you choose and why?I’m a really big Ellen Von Unwerth fan, so modelling for her would be a dream come true. I know that’s never going to happen, but a girl can dream haha! Before we go, do you have any tips for new models that find you inspiring?Don’t be afraid to contact photographers, even if you think you’re not on a high enough level yet. Some rejection is unavoidable, but you’ll be amazed at how many photographers will actually say yes. Just be friendly, be humble, be well prepared and, above all, be safe!To find more of Siobhan’s work you can find her on her official modelling Facebook page or on ModelMayhem.
