A recent study, led by Dr. Gerulf Rieger from the Department of Psychology at the University of Essex, claims that human sexuality is fluid and that there is no such thing as a heterosexual woman.
The study measures women’s physiological response after viewing an assortment of pornographic videos.
This research is an effort to obtain an accurate understanding of human sexuality by analyzing physiological queues.
Since people can’t control whether or not their eyes will dilate, it’s a great way to scientifically measure the body’s response.
In the study, the sexuality of 345 women was put to the test. These women all identified as either homosexual or heterosexual.
82% of the women tested were aroused by both genders.
74% of the studied women, who had identified as straight, were aroused by videos of both attractive men and women.
Despite that fact that a majority of women identify as straight, Dr. Rieger’s research proves that when it comes to being aroused, women are either bisexual or gay.
Women who identify as lesbians, however, tend to be more aroused by their preferred gender, much like the behaviors seen in men.
The study concluded that human sexuality is way more complex than either being gay or straight.
Regardless of how women identify themselves when it comes to their sexuality, their bodies respond positively to both heterosexual and homosexual acts of intercourse.
Their bodies also react positively to both males and females who are clearly attractive.
This proves that while all human sexuality is fluid, women’s sexuality is very complex, and cannot simply be classified as gay or straight.
In short, there is pretty much no such thing as a straight woman. What a time to be alive!
